Free plan or free trial? Follow the reset.
The most useful question is not whether a tool says “free.” It is what you will still be able to do next month.
Recurring does not mean unlimited.
A recurring allowance refreshes on a schedule. You might receive minutes, characters, credits or exports each month. Check the unit, the reset period, whether unused credits carry over, and which models consume those credits. These are different questions, and a single “free” label cannot answer them.
One-time credits are a test drive.
Starter credits may be enough to try an interface or make a sample. They do not necessarily renew. Before building a repeatable workflow around a tool, check whether the free allowance is ongoing or a single grant when you sign up.
A time-limited trial has another clock.
Some trials expire after a number of days, even if you have not used the allowance. Others require a payment method and may turn into a paid subscription. Check the provider’s trial terms and cancellation process before signing up. We leave card requirements unconfirmed if the reviewed source does not answer them.
Choose for the project you actually have.
A trial can be useful for evaluating a tool. A renewing allowance is often a better starting point for an ongoing hobby. Paid access may be needed for exporting work or using it commercially, even if generation is free. Use the finder’s filters together and read the limitations before you commit.
